Foreign investors directed 1.6 billion dollars into Saudi stocks in the second quarter of 2026, making the Kingdom the only market in the Gulf Cooperation Council to record net foreign buying in the period.

The Tadawul All Share Index ended today nearly unchanged, down 0.03 percent at 10,716.82.

The Quarter in Context

The second quarter contained the sharpest phase of the regional conflict, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, and the slowest growth forecasts in years. Net foreign buying through that quarter, while neighboring markets recorded outflows, is a positioning statement by external capital.

A flat index alongside the inflow reads consistently with the Fitch affirmation this month: the war registered as disruption to be priced, not damage to exit from. Whether the flows continue as the third quarter unfolds is the number to watch.
